From Lisa-Surgery Date March 2006I went to the Lap Band seminar on 1-29-2006. I met Dr. Mackenzie and the staff at SOS. They helped me get all my papers in order for get my Band. I weighed 294 lb. with a BMI of 48.2. On March 16, 2006 I received my Lap Band. I was down 17 lb. in just a week after I got my Band. Losing sometimes is really winning! Thanks to DR. Mackenzie I am getting my life back. In 2 Days I will Have my band for 3 months. What a difference it has made in my life in such a short time. I started at 294 now I am 244 I am down 50 lb. I have had my band filled 2 times now by Sandy. I am walking 2 miles a day and working out at Curves 3 days a week. I checked my measurements 3 weeks ago. I lost 37.5 total inches over my body (9 in. off my thigh). I am very happy with my new tool that was installed by Dr. Mackenzie. I am loving being a real loser for the first time in life. I'm two weeks post - op everything went great I have lost 20 lbs. since the surgery. just follow the instructions and everything will be fine. There was very little pain after the surgery I had more pain in my shoulder from the way they positioned me on the table and it's gone now. |
